What you will do
As Manager Director for Volvo Financial Services, your mainly responsibility will be leading our operations based in Chile. Manage all aspects of the business including sales, credit, operations, and finance while ensuring the organization achieves world class levels of customers and dealers’ satisfaction, and employee engagement.
You will report to the SVP, VFS Region South America and will be located in Santiago, Chile
The purpose of your contribution will be to, together with your colleagues in VFS Chile, drive development in the follow items:
- Further develop and implement VFS strategy;
- Champion the Company’s mission, vision, aspirations and values;
- Achieve quantitative and qualitative objectives set for VFS Chile;
- Lead the company in a professional, ethical and motivating way;
- Secure and develop the right competence – attract, retain and develop highly engaged employees and cultivate a high performing organization;
- Advocate and adhere to Volvo’s policies and guidelines, as well as to local laws and regulations;
- Ownership for all operational, commercial and financial results of VFS Chile;
- Represent the company with business partners and external authorities;
- Manage relationship with market companies, dealers, and customers;
- Overall strategic responsibility including risk, compliance, financial management and company results in line with VFS strategy and objectives;
- Collaborate in planning and activities within VFS;
- Identify and leverage operational synergies and continuously improve business processes;
- Directly responsible for Human Resources, including responsibility for Compensation and Benefit Process in line with Guidelines and Policies given by VFS/Volvo Group in relevant markets;
- Enhance portfolio monitoring and, stability and control processes, activities and initiatives.
- Being Member of local Credit committees;
- Being Member of the Volvo Country Management Team in Chile and VFS Regional Executive Team in South America;
- Represent the Legal Entity (statutory responsibilities).

- Fluent in Spanish and English, spoken language, as well as reading and writing

- Proven track record of ability to assess opportunities versus risk.
What do we expect from your background education/experiences?
- University degree in Administration/Finance or equivalent business experience;
- Master’s in business administration is preferred;
- Documented experience in financial services business;
- Experience in the Transportation/Automotive market;
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills;
- Proven experience in people management;
- Preferred Volvo knowledge and experience.
