What you can expect

As a specialist for IT innovations you are part of Magna Powertrain global’s IT innovation and digitalization team. You and your colleagues are having a broad understanding of the industry and the market and you are identifying future technologies that may impact our business positively by analyzing existing business processes and identifying areas to improve regarding efficiency and costs.

The following tasks could be part of your daily work:

  • Developing an innovation strategy together with the internal business
  • Building and maintaining the innovation pipeline and developing an Innovation Information Repository
  • Monitoring, identifying and evaluating new technologies/standards that may impact our business as well as the whole industry
  • Disseminating information on relevant technologies/standards as well as facilitating, coordinating and running innovation design-thinking workshops aligned with the business strategy
  • Creating innovation business cases and presenting it accordingly
  • Building strategic partnerships with universities and research institutes and driving collaboration across different business areas to accelerate innovation ideas / projects
  • Managing the handover of innovation projects to IT products


What you bring along

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Innovation Management, Computer Science, IT or the equivalent in experience
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in performing and/or supporting business processes within IT-Tools
  • Hands-on experience with new technologies (ChatGPT, Cloud technologies…)
  • High organization skills with an analytical and strategic mindset
  • Ability to proactively drive and work in a global, collaborative environment
  • Open mindedness with the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • High creativity and forward thinking with strong communication skills in English and German
  • Readiness to travel regional in Europe and globally from time to time

  • Practice and maintain integrity while following Magna’s Charter and Constitution.
  • Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.
  • Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to establishedquality management system (IATF 16949).
  • Drive the development of new technologies to improve quality, efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure duties of self are performed in a safe manner.
  • Health & Safety responsibilities:
    • Understand applicable Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
    • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
    • Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately.
    • Follow safety rules.
    • Comply with requirements for the use or operation of machines or equipment.
    • Comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Create a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain a responsive and cooperative working relationship with internal andexternal customers.
  • Treat everyone with dignity, trust and respect.
  • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

In addition, commitment and qualification are valued by us: we pay more than we have to. For this position you get a salary starting from € 47.600 gross per year (basis: 38.5 hours per week) and, above all, the unbelievably good feeling of creating something great at Magna Powertrain using your talent and personality.
