Position overview

We are looking for Sales Manager to take on responsibility of our customers in Germany. As a Sales Manager you will be responsible of planning and execution of technical and commercial customer visits to deliver profitable sales and contribution margin growth.
You will manage existing customer base and acquire new contacts and new prospects to increase market penetration in the coating resin market.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and further develop the current customers portfolio and increase customer intimacy by opening new contacts and expanding network.
  • Grow the coating resin business above market, including sales and marginal income targets for the region.
  • Manage assigned clients in Germany with focus in various Market Segments.
  • Regularly visit the current client base to identify unmet needs, conduct business reviews, present new products (together with TS&D colleagues), and negotiate prices and payment terms in a competitive environment.
  • Identify and acquire new sales prospects starting from scratch (open contact, visiting, presenting product portfolio, identifying opportunities, closing sales).
  • Spot and exploit new business opportunities, by assessing total customer potential, conducting business development and managing and successfully closing projects.
  • Manage and quickly resolve customer complaints and claims.
  • Traveling approximately 40 – 60 % of the time.

Required skills and experience

  • Technical education in chemical area or commercial education with coating market experience.
  • 5+ years of sales or key account management experience in the chemical or coating industry (preferably with different coating technologies).
  • Language skills: fluent in German and English.
  • Excellent Sales skills, relation building, strong passion to win.
  • Talent to open new contacts and maintain high client satisfaction level, good communication skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees, particularly Sales, Customer and Technical Service departments.
