Business SAP Consultant with expertise in Logistics
Client Description:
Adecco Permanent Placement is looking for its client, a leading global provider of mission-critical products and services to customers in the biopharma, healthcare, education & government, for a Business SAP Consultant with expertise in Logistics.
Responsibilities:
- In this role you will analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated system focusing on Logistics/Warehouse Management.

- Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
- Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing; and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
- Design details of automated systems, may provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
- Collaborate with users to understand business requirements and design appropriate solutions to meet those requirements.
- Design screens and reports to support company’s specific functions based on standard SAP building blocks and write technical specifications to that effect.
- Programs to be developed include, but are not limited to: reports, enhancements/BADI’s, classes and interfaces.
- Develop, execute and document unit test procedures to verify configuration and developments.
- Assist in the preparation of workshops to demonstrate new developments.
- Work closely with business analysts to ensure accuracy and completeness of functional specifications.
- Develop and deploy SAP interfaces with external enterprise systems.
- Assist in system, integration, performance and user acceptance testing.
- Assist business analysts with the analysis of ABAP change requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile:
- 5 years’ experience with ECC 6.0 SAP ERP in the Logistics area (WM/LE/IM);
- Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement desirable
- Experience in debugging required, experience as an ABAP developer is an asset
- Experience with design/development of remote terminal/RF devices screens/process a plus.
- Experience with automation integration (conveyors, autostore, robotics) is an asset
- BS/BA in Information Systems, or relevant work experience
- Understanding of software development life cycle
- Knowledge of SAP best practices and SAP Implementation Methodology
- Good understanding of the integration points across SAP modules, especially SD and MM
- SAP Certification and/or course work a plus
- Understanding of data quality issues and ability to recommend best practices for ensuring/validating data quality
- Strong analysis skills for creating optimal solutions for the business
Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms understandable to the business.
