Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer at Bansal Group, located in Bhopal. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a hospital plays a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of the healthcare institution. Here's an outline of the responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this position:

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the hospital's mission and objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes specific to healthcare operations.
  • Evaluate and recommend financial strategies to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making on cost management, revenue enhancement, and investment opportunities.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics related to patient care, revenue cycles, and operational efficiency.
  • Revenue Cycle Management:
  • Supervise revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, and collections, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Implement strategies to optimize revenue streams, reduce billing errors, and enhance reimbursement processes.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid).
  • Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and fraud.
  • Stay updated with changes in healthcare finance laws and regulations, adapting hospital policies accordingly.
  • Capital Management and Investments:
  • Manage capital allocation, investments, and financial resources for equipment, facility upgrades, and technology.
  • Evaluate financing options for healthcare projects or expansions, considering long-term financial implications.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align financial goals with patient care and operational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field; MBA, CPA, or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Extensive experience (usually 10+ years) in financial management within healthcare settings.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement mechanisms, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
